The Habs are 4-14 in their last 18 games, and have just a 2-point cushion over 9th place right now.

I was just looking at the Eastern standings and laughing after that start they had.

14-18-3 since their 9-0 start. They're showing that they're exactly what I was saying about them last season - a bad team with an elite goalie.

I really want Price to come back, get them into the playoffs only to reinjure himself on the eve of the first round.

Stamkos played just 14:55 minutes in Tampa's 3-1 win last night. 8th among Lightning forwards.

They have good players but Cooper is nuts to be doing this.  There is zero chance that Stamkos is coming back.  Maybe they are doing it to try and get him to waive his NTC?

He's been playing 19-21 minutes a game throughout the season...maybe he's just nursing an injury or something.

So the Caps are currently on pace for a 129+ point season. If the team can stay relatively healthy, I think they may challenge Montreal's record of 132 points.

Damien Cox being a moron going back and forth with Brian McGrattan after he had a really bad concussion.  How does he still have a job.

Gustavsson left Bruins/Ducks game tonight after making 14 stops on 16 shots in first period with "illness". Brought to hospital for observation.

Obviously, first thing that comes to mind is his heart issue from a few years ago. Too bad, if that's the case. He was having a really good season as a back-up to Rask.

Shitty, hope he's ok.

So this happened in the Calgary-Nashville game...

At first I wondered if he might have been concussed when he took the hit in the defensive zone.  Then I read that they didn't take him to the quiet room and he played the rest of the game.

1) How was he not ejected for that, it looked pretty damn intentional given that there was no concussion protocol employed
2) Is that 3, 5, or 10 games?

I can entirely see the hit on the linesman looking like it's intentional, but I really don't think it was.  Wideman was skating a little with his head down, and the linesman was backing into him.  He looked up a bit more at the last second, then got his hands/stick up on a hurry reflexively on recognizing the suddenly impending collision.  I think it was a spontaneous surprise reaction.

It didn't look like that at all.  Wideman was looking straight and on his way to the bench.  In no way did he not see the linesman backing up, and even if it was a last-minute recognition, why then did he practically cross-check him so hard?

It looked purely intentional.
