2015 MLB Playoffs Thread

I know that. II just thought  Hosmer had more of an impact that Perez. But I didn't do a deep dove into numbers or anything.

Fair enough.  I just thought the way you presented Hosmer's aggregate playoff stats you were thinking big picture.

Anyways, Perez batted .364 in the World Series, while Hosmer hit .190 (.846 vs. .478 OPS).  Perez's hit also led to the championship run.  Hosmer was the catalyst, while Perez was the glue.  I grew a greater appreciation for Perez these playoffs.  He's a vacuum behind the plate and does a great job controlling the game.

Well, I suppose, of the three playoff teams the Royals beat to win the World Series, at least the Blue Jays had the least embarrassing defeat.

Honestly there was nothing embarrassing about their defeat. Other than the ridiculous game, the Jays were in a position to win every game... Colabello said it best this morning 'maybe a couple of hits with runners in scoring position would have helped.'

If the Blue Jays  had beat the Royals and advanced to the World Series, I'm certain they could have beat the NYMets.  Just speculating here, but I think it was doable.
