2016 Leafs Development Camp Roster

#Leafs prospect Dmytro Timashov (2015 fifth-round pick) says he'll play in the #AHL with the #Marlies next season.

? Dhiren Mahiban (@dcmahiban) July 4, 2016

Not even going to try to crack the NHL roster, Dmytro?  :)

Marlies will be very fun to watch with Timashov, Dermott, Neilsen, Desrocher, Johnson in the fold. Veteran core looks to be Smith, Clune, Cliche, Campbell, Holl with only Smith being a top-6 option.

This Matthews fellow seems poised mature intelligent. Like a diplomat.

I've got my nickname for him: the Secretary of Skate.

That question about how going to a rookie development camp after spending a year playing pro is a step back was sooooooo dumb.

Hey ZBBM, I like that one and back it up 100%. The Secretary of Skate.  I would like Mitch as his skating mate.

From Scott Wheeler:
Notes on Leafs dev camp:
- Marner looks bigger than when I spoke to him a few months ago
- Good to see him say he used Barb's skating tips
- Must be nice for Matthews to have Greenway and Bracco around this week, familiarity helps (we forget how young they are)
- Good to see Timashov point to Grundstrom as someone who is tough to play against but can also skate
- Interesting to hear that Leipsic reached out to Brooks after he was drafted, seems like they're good friends
- Pellerin really beat the "group" mantra that Lamoriello espouses, borderline wouldn't talk about Marner/Matthews individually

Other tidbits that you may have missed:
- Matthews is rooming with Timashov for the camp
- Marner weighed in at 163 lbs, which is +3

Video of Matthews sniping one from the slot from Bracco against Woll (USNTDP) during a skills drill.

From Scott Wheeler:
Marner basically said that he?s eating, working out, napping on a three-hour cycle this morning.
Good to see Marner saying that he?s not just going to bulk up for sake of it though. Said he frequently has to cut to get speed back.
- He said he has cut from 165 to 160 before because he felt sluggish. Trying to get to 170 but not afraid to go back down.
Sounds like there?s a lot of emphasis on quick moves off the boards. Marner said Leafs want players going to middle quickly.

Interesting to hear Matthews say he's been trying to talk to Larkin and Eichel a lot to get tips on how to prepare for long season.

Dermott spoke glowingly about Clune and his positivity as someone he looked up to with the Marlies

#81, or as I've been calling him, LeftKessel, is actually Adam Brooks.

Poor Woll (I think).

Jeebus, he gets his shot off quick.

F'n ridiculous. The one from yesterday made me laugh. The person taking the video involuntarily laughed like a giddy school kid.

Was that little Marner taking down big Matthews right there?
Could you provide mobile link?
