Hobbes said:Pretty surprised that Kadri remains unsigned and it's the end of July already. There can't be many teams left who could even fit him into their cap even if he comes down from what were presumably initially overly ambitious salary/term demands.
Joe said:If he has to settle for a cheap 1 year deal but hyman can get 7 years at 5 mil per than the nhl is even more bush league than I give it credit for.

I'm not sure why it makes the NHL "bush league"

Ok forget that term. A garbage league? A badly run league? A league run by a bunch of idiot gms and owners?
Joe said:I get what you?re saying. There?s 2 possible scenarios here I suppose, Kadri is holding out for something very specific and may have painted himself into a corner or GMs aren?t willing to go big or long term with Kadri.
My mini rant is based on the latter scenario.
Joe said:I don?t know if Kadri?s preference is to stay in Colorado or not. But you?ve got to love a league that has made it very difficult to impossible to keep a group of talented players together.
But the league has Arizona to prop up, so yay.

I kinda enjoy the level of player movement. Makes things a little less predictable. But, I am part of team chaos, so?

I don?t mind movement if that?s what the player wants, but I have to believe that many of the cases of player movement are due to the team not being able to provide ?market value? under the cap. And on top of that you have teams dumping players in other teams to either be cap compliant or to fit someone new under the cap.
This isn?t fun.
