2021 Marlies Thread

Was at the game last night..Ho-Sang can flat out fly with the puck ..I think he's being held back a little at times by his teammates ..4 times last night he did a cross crease pass and they couldn't handle it. The guy is smiling a lot tho.
Abramov looked a lot more comfortable to me. Kallgren is good  and made some really nice saves. Fun game even though they lost.

Hockey's still going to be at the Olympics, it just won't include NHLers. Just like last time.

This also means that there's a halfway decent chance that Justin Pogge, who is currently representing Canada in the Channel One Cup tournament, could be an Olympian. JFJ must be so proud.

Robertson was injured in his 2nd game of the season with a non-displaced fracture of his right fibula. It was originally expected that he'd miss a minimum of 10 weeks, but he's been sidelined for almost 12 weeks now.

Duszak and Menell, who have been out with injuries for a little bit now too, practiced with the team today.

Jason, his brother, also mentioned on record and maybe not on purpose, that he was isolated with Nick during his stint on Covid protocols as they both tested positive.

Damn, so both him and Amirov missed a ton of time this season with injuries AND got COVID. Our top-2 forward prospects having a rough time.

How the Marlies are looking right now. They'll play tomorrow for the first time in about 1.5 weeks, so that will likely be Ritchie's debut down there.

Excellent, we are looking forward to a full report. Wondering if Rubins can fill in at 5 or 6 at NHL level. What do we actually have in Duzak or Hollowell.

Marlies pounded Laval today..lots of guys impressed me. In no order...Robertson looks faster then before and they cover him like he's a star. He doesn't get a lot of room out there..SDA is a silky smooth skater, good hands, mind. Hollowell, excellent skating and positioning. His size doesn't seem to hinder him much. Anderson is a solid player and I think could easily be out 13th forward. Won't hurt you at either end of the ice. Blandisi is relentless, fearless and has a touch around the net. Seney is a good player, Steeves is another.
Didn't notice Rubins and Kral much which just means they were solid.
Hutch made some good saves..
Marlies are fast.
Hope they add our OV and Amirov soon..
