2021 Marlies Thread

this is a bit of a concern and not enough vaccine in Ontario today.  What is going on?

There was a delay in a shipment from Moderna, so some clinics using that vaccine are short.

There are still lots of Pfizer doses.

4 goals on 11 shots after 1. Couldn't really blame him on any goal. Belleville scored 2 shorties on the same Marlies PP.

Wichita won 7-5, so I assume Scott got the win, the first in a long time. Kansas City had 30 shots.

Was Gogolev drafted or is he eligible for next years draft?  I thought he played on the Petes with SDA and Roberston?  Looks like he has some skill, enough to be mentioned by Moore in the game comments.

Knowing nothing much, I googled Gogolev. He was draft eligible first in 2018 and has since pass through 3 drafts unpicked, so that is no longer an avenue for him. The Marlies signed him to an AHL deal, and if they can get his skating to the next two levels (a la Justin Brazeau, which is looking less likely), then the Leafs probably get first crack at signing him to an show-me NHL deal as a UFA.

He was not drafted and he isn't eligible. He's 21 and did play with the Petes with SDA and Robertson back in 2018/19. He was traded to the Storm and put up 96 points as a 20 year old. Leafs signed him to an AHL contract so he's a UFA after this season. I've read a few things about him and SDA. Apparently they have great chemistry. Gogolev was rated as the best eligible D+1 player in the draft. He has an NHL shot. Could be a 3rd liner down the road....we'll see but I've liked what I've seen from him so far.

Ugh.
Nothing but bad luck for the kid this season. Let's hope it isn't serious and he can be ready to go if the Leafs need him.

Gogolev scored again yesterday, seems to have the touch.  Also Mikko  Kokkonen scored his first and is improving rapidly according to the game report.  No news on Nicky Bobby injury as yet.
Woll also getting accolades stopped 36 of 38 shots.

Pavel Gogolev scored Toronto?s third goal at 18:30 of the second period. He earlier recorded the primary assists on Brazeau?s and Kossila?s first period goals. He has eight points (4 goals, 4 assists) in his last six games. This is Gogolev?s first career AHL three-point game.

By the way Hutch stopped 39 of 41 shots.
