Actually I should add if you can get a good young player then yeah I'm fine with no 1st rounder.

I would bet that at one point or another Calgary turned down trade offers for Tanev, Andersson, Weegar from Treliving that were better than what those players were eventually dealt for.
Maybe on Tanev and Andersson. That Weegar deal is pretty good. 3 seconds this year gives them a lot of draft capital. On draft day they could move a couple of those to move up into the late first round and still have two left over.

OOOOh, how about this? Maybe Parayko will come to the Leafs. So the Leaf send Colorado's pick to the Blues, the Sabres send Radim Mrtka to the Blues, and the Leafs send OEL to the Sabres.
