Should note too considering how compressed next season will likely be teams having two capable goalies is going to be very important.

This is a very interesting take...I hadn't thought of that.
It's a great point and the Leafs will be leaning on Campbell a lot next season.

On that note the Leafs will need an upgrade on their third stringer this summer. Can't be an injury away from Kaskisio or Woll playing significant NHL minutes.

I don't see anyone other then a league minimum guy as a 3rd stringer. If your top 2 guys go down you're in big trouble, like almost every team in the league.

Of course, but it still needs to be somebody better than the current options

It will be interesting to see what they do on the Marlies. Ian Scott is back from injury and you also have Woll, who his teammates rave about. Maybe they platoon them but I think we'll see one go to the Growlers so both can play a lot. The Leafs will likely sign a vet ufa for not too much cash and waive him down to the Marlies. Don't know if they've given up on Kaskisuo yet but I would guess yes..

Even if it's just for the purpose of improving the goaltending for the Marlies it's something worth looking in to. Kaskisuo is a UFA and turns 27 this October, probably time to move on there. Ian Scott will need to be eased back into things after missing the entire year so he's likely earmarked for whatever the ECHL does this season. Hopefully Woll has a much stronger sophomore season but we'll need to bring someone in to compete with him for Marlies starts.

Aren't the Marlies kind of depleted these days? i.e. Will his record really be indicative of how good he is?

Marlies were a mess last year after Keefe left. Woll had an up and down year but reading what some players say about him puts my mind at ease. They think he's the real deal. Has the talent, just has to adjust the mental side of the game. We will see where it goes. I wouldn't be surprised to see Woll and Scott fighting it out for the Marlies role. From what I've read, Scott is pretty much ready to go. He was on the ice regularly with the Leafs and will be again once the bubble closes and the Leafs get their facilities back. The future goalie(s) could be right in front of us. We'll see how they do this coming year.
