Yeah. I think anyone who expected Nonis to be gone was in for a rude awakening there. I suspect a few other front office people might be relieved of their duties or re-assigned, but, I'm confident in saying that Nonis is safe for at least the upcoming season.

1 - A new head of professional scouting
2 - Changes in the amateur scouting ranks
3 - Claude Loiselle's head
4 - Carlyle's head
5 - We can ignore Fletcher but only because I don't think he actually does anything anymore...if he is still providing advice, he should move over to Minnesota.
Did anyone honestly believe Nonis would be fired? He just signed a contract extension. Lieweke's probably not going to make the rookie mistake of extending a GM only to fire him after a late season collapse.bustaheims said:Corn Flake said:I said it after the press conference (maybe not here but elsewhere) and I will say it again after that Lieweke interview... Well, except it wouldn't be Leiweke firing him. It would, I think the rationale goes, be on Shanahan and I think it's always fair to wonder if someone incoming as President wants to bring in their own people.

RedLeaf said:As restless as we all are for some news, how can he be criticized for not rushing through this process?

RedLeaf said:I don't think that particular question is a 'loaded' one. You either think Shanny is taking too long with this process or you do not. I'd rather he take the time he needs and get this right, than rush through it to appease the media and fans.
