Not a great finish to a pretty good game.

Hope they can pull off a W for the rookie goalie tomorrow night.
Yup. Lots of positives but the negatives killed them again. Rielly gets the Goat horns tonight. Not good.

No hope.  Season done.  Now on the road for 6 games.  It?s over.
Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?
That was the Japanese.

Germans, Japanese they?re all foreigners to Cherry

YOU PEOPLE really need to get your history right.
I'm so offended...wonder what Jess Allen thinks of your white bit, hockey mentality?

I'm offended that someone doesn't seem to know the "Germans bombed Pearl Harbor" reference! And also by the Leafs dzone coverage (or lack thereof).

I think we are kinda screwed. Dubas has basically tied his own hands.
Injuries are piling up which haven't helped.
No cap room to do anything. Maybe some callups see if that helps.
Trade is the only thing other than a coaching change.
Like someone said all the trades have backfired it seems.
Never really understood the Ceci signing. Could they have used that money elsewhere and been any worse?
Interesting to see what happens in the next few weeks.

They would have been better off re-signing Hainsey and letting Ceci go (or trade him for a whatever they could get...pile up those 7th rounders).

Then I look forward to not seeing you post anymore lol.

This site has really digressed.  Anyone who posts to a more realist level is either reported or fellow posters suggest they never post here again.

I?ve post on this site since the old penaltybox forum, going back a couple decades, all opinions used to be welcomed.  Now?  Only if you suggest extreme optimism that fly in the face of facts are you welcomed to share your opinion.

Realist are now colored trolls.  It has has stifled good debate.

Point of matter.  Leafs embark on a 6 game road trip.  What suggests they can do anything but lose most of them?  Over the last 2 years we have seen the same.

The goals to Marchand are a joke.  Have a damn backbone.

The guy is talented I'll give him that but there are times he can be hit and I'm not talking just tonight.
Seen it far too many times regular season and playoffs.
Kadri should of tried taking his head off last year and hopefully succeeded. The 7 game loss would have been worth it.

Your lust for violence is disturbing.

Have you ever noticed that you like to bait people into arguments? Like... Have you ever taken a second to think about how you phrase things?

There's a phrase about glass houses out there somewhere but I can't seem to find it.....

I don?t have a lust for violence.
What I do like is some old time hockey. Some hits, take the body, ride someone out etc etc which this team has very little of.

As far as Marchand he?s nothing but a gutless puke who should of been laid out a long time ago. I?m sure I?m not the only one who?s thinks that.

What?s more frustrating is he barely gets touched and don?t give me that he?s elusive bulls**t. Watch a whole game when he?s on the ice and tell me if I?m wrong. It?s really frustrating.

No lust for violence, yet you wish that "Kadri should of tried taking his head off" and the should "Call a guy up for one game and clock him in the middle of the ice."

???

What would you call that, love and affection?

He has 302 points over the last 3+ seasons.  Go tell the other 28 teams to hit him because no one is doing it.  That?s usually a sign of a player being hard to hit.

I guess Gretzky was to? Give me a break.
Like I said watch a whole game. Slow it down every time he?s on the ice and tell me over 60 minutes there isn?t a time someone could hit him and either knock him off the puck or on his ass.

Some of you guys on here are clueless.

If you looked at me and Herman, the pharasing is pretty similar.  Everyone loves Herman.  The difference?  He has never said a critical word  about the leafs or their coaches.  Never thinks a player or coach should be called to task.  The losing is mostly bad luck.  My observation is different.  The coaches and players do need to be called to task, especially the coaching staff.  That viewpoint isn?t appreciated. In fact, it?s looked down upon.  Which is why you?re worried about how I phrase things.

If every critical word I used was exchanged with a supportive one, this discussion wouldn?t be happening.

Honestly, what is there to bait?  There isn?t much argument these days, the team has underperformed for multiple years.

That?s what the site is all about. To throw in our views of our team regardless whether they are good or bad.

I?ve said this before I?ve been a diehard fan of this team for 40+ years.
Seen a lot as have a lot of others on here over the years. Am I passionate about this team? Do I get wound up with this team? Do I get too emotional? Ask my wive and kids.

Bottom line is we all put in our two cents. Do we agree with each other? That?ll never happen. But regardless of what we say we respect everyone?s comments. Don?t agree with all of them but respect them.

Just a frustrating time for us. So much talent and it?s not working.
Hopefully they pull it together and soon and I?m sure the tone will change on here. Just wanna see this team win. GLG.

I just heard an amazing Stanley Cub  coach is available to step in and take over...yes Chrerry if ready to talk the team over, Killer as assistant coach... Let do it.

You don't think Gretzky was hard to hit? You don't think he knew how to play the game so he didn't get hit?

I think one person is talking about talking about the difficulty in context of targeting a player and committing a clear penalty or suspend-able offence, and the other more reasonable person is talking about odds of a hard, punishing hit on an elusive, talented player in the context of a hockey play.
