Bruins @ Leafs - Oct. 25th, 7:00pm - CBC, TSN 1050

I remain more pro-Bozak than most but holy goodness when Kadri isn't going this is just an irredeemably ugly group of centres.

I hear Bergeron is better than all of them.

I sure am glad Franson called for the puck there so he could hesitate and wrist it weakly toward the net.

Looked like he had to knock the pass from out of the air a little bit to me. Took a bit of time away from taking the shot.

CBC/Sportsnet and Carlyle showing their lack of understanding of advanced stats.  Good thing Carlyle can dismiss stuff though.  Keep running this great setup of playing the whole game in our own zone.

Well, at least Kessel tried.

Sorta. Reminds me of when Nik said Kessel might be in the right place at times defensively but not really doing enough to be effective when he's there.

"Sorta" would be a good nick for him.

This 2nd period intermission segment with Nik effing Kypreos is the worst thing in the history of the universe. Sportsnet has to back off the CBC when it comes to production.  Mother of god.

I have two words for you.  Al.  Strachan.

Oh god they have sticks again

Rogers Executive A: Hey, you know what would make for some cutting edge game presentation?

Rogers Executive B: I don't know...whatever Fox was doing with the NFL 12 years ago?

Rogers Executive A: Exactly.

Rogers Executive B: Is there anyway we could hire another dozen or so indistinguishable ex-players to yammer on while they're doing it?

Rogers Executive A: At least!

Seriously, I forget who it was but someone recently was saying that between the new Grantland NBA show and the Starters over at NBA.com basketball seems to be making a concerted effort to at least try to present the material to people under the age of 45 in relatively new/interesting ways.

Rogers has been disappointing as the home of HNIC in just about every way.

I would take the Hot Stove every day of the week and twice on sunday over what they're doing now.

I know the execs making this show mentioned the hate for Healy got him hired, are they trying to make people hate the 2nd intermission too?

I mean how can they actually believe this has any value.

I'd rather watch Al Strachan singing karaoke in drag than watch 5 seconds of Nik Kypreos doing his meathead-in-a-suit bit.
