Not going to win when your stars are non existent. All great piling up points and goals against shit teams but if you don't show up against the good teams why are you making the big dollars.

Eh, I've seen worse efforts.  Marner has been doing his thing, the puck bounced on Matthews a couple of times, and of course Tavares finally sniped one.  Nylander has been meh.

That first PP absolutely killed them.
Agree...they didn't really play all thay bad..some bad decisions that ended up in our net. Liljegren has had a rough game and we def need a 2C...Domi can't play there and Tavares has played well in the 3C..

Yeah, I'm not sure what to do with Domi, except maybe dangle him in a trade.  They seem to have to work around him too often.

I thought the Leafs played like crap.

I think Boston had something to do with that.
At times, it seemed like they had the Leafs figured out.
As if they knew what was coming or how it was coming sometimes and what they should do about it.

I know Guilt Trip you are going to disagree with me on this one. But games like tonight shows you hard work trumps talent is why we don't waste anything for a rental. Utterly amazing how you don't come out better than this in a huge game 4 point game.

I have no issues with rentals..I have an issue with what you pay for them. Lije a 3rd for Schenn last year was a no brainer. I wonder if the Leafs will be going after a guy like Bogosian. In a tough series I rhonk hes kind of a guy toud like in your side.
Anyway...If you are going to dangle the 1st, you need a player with term.
I think the Leafs carried the offence but defensively they lacked.

Domi needs to go to LW if he can't start playing better D. That line is always thinking offence and they all need to sacrifice a little O for better D. Tavares needs to stay 3C. They're taking advantage of the match ups and the line is cooking.

These are the types of games that make you wonder about Liljegren's long-term potential. It's rough that it feels like they often come against Boston too.

It does but I think he'll be ok. Let's see how he does in the next few.
