They do need toughness, but against a team having their best start in history I take the point vs. none. They could've rolled over and got shelled after that and they didn't.

Thing is they added toughness and nobody addressed Marchand. What's the point of adding these guys when they fail to respond to other teams BS. I've said it before you don't need to hurt someone to the point where a suspension may be warranted. I missed a chunk of the game after the hit and when I was watching there were times Marchand could have been hit and absolutely nothing. Pathetic.

I liked the first few shifts of Bertuzzi's game tonight but strangely he disappeared in the 2nd which was exactly when you'd think someone with his piss and snot or whatever it was would have made a bigger impact.

Guilt Trip some on here and me included just want to see some response. The team has been for years now easy to play against because there is no pushback. Did I expect Reaves to go after Marchand definitely not because like you said he?s not going to fight him and Reaves probably wouldn?t even fight him. What I would have liked to see is maybe a couple hits at Marchand or someone going after him and let him him know that the play was bulls**t. Team has no spine and hasn?t since this core has been put together. Ya it was a very good game but some of you don?t see the big picture and what?s lacking with this team. No different than previous years. Maybe I?m wrong but talk to me in April unless changes are made because this bunch ain?t cutting it. Stanley Cup favourites what a joke.

I wholeheartedly disagree. While Niedermayer did nothing to deserve the elbow he got from Tie, Marchand totally deserved retribution for what he did to Liljegren. Someone on the Leafs needed to take a run at Marchand.
