Bruins vs. Maple Leafs - Oct. 26th, 7:00pm - SN, TSN 1050

Yeah. He tied it up, he gave it away. But I don't understand how he could have managed that. He had plenty of time to survey the ice and then put on the tape of Boston.
Simple, he grabbed the puck, saw Marner coming back, went behind the net, Marner peeled for a change thinking he'd hold it....bad play...oh well. He made a mistake. He'll own it and move on.

For sure but my point is that he had time to wait for the change instead of forcing a pass.

This is 100% what happened.
Matthews looked up as he rounded the net, saw marner making his way towards the zone. So, as he exited the net, he was making the pass to Marner. But when he looked up, Marner had turned back to bench. He froze as he released and coughed it up. It happens. I don't think it was that big of a brain fart. Just unfortunate.

Maybe they need to communicate better. Honestly it looked like Mitch didn't have any urgency to either get a stick or on the bench.
