Canucks @ Leafs - Jan. 5th, 7:00pm - CBC, Fan 590

Have you heard this is Vancouver's 3rd game in 4 nights?

Is it?  Then that could be a plausible excuse for the fact that they managed only 2 shots during the first 12 mins of the 3rd.

The only thing that would make it worse would be if they were in the last game of, say, a 6-game road trip.  But the NHL would never schedule a team like that, so unfair would it be.

Hutch is >>> sparks.  He just looks much steady.  Big and in position.
I agree with you but it doesn't hurt that he's having a good game.

Yeah the guy who has had way more NHL experience looks more comfortable.

Lol refs call another penalty against the leafs.  Leafs gonna get zero PPs again.  Amazing.

Leafs have lost 14 total games.  However, 6 times they have lost two in a row.  Means that when they lose one they almost always lose two.  Weird.

Was nice to see Hutch get the shutout, but I'm pretty sure the York U practice goalie for the Leafs could have won tonight

Sparks isn?t looking more comfortable with each game.

Life isn?t linear.

Majority of the time, I?d say it?s pretty dang linear.

He made some good saves in the 1st but yeah the Leafs ended up just taking this one over.

I think that Sparks has a more flippy floppy style in general that makes people nervous. Doesn't make you a bad goalie necessarily, but it is nerve wracking to watch.

And before you say Can the leafs play like this all the time? I?ll ask if we can play the Pettersson-less Canucks all the time.

Hutchinson's best period was the 1st the other night.

Absolutely. Prior to his headshot, he was already quieter in net than games 1-4.
