Canucks @ Leafs - May 1st, 7:00pm - CBC, Fan 590

Could you imagine if Matthews played in the 80s with those horrible goalies? He would have scored 150 goals.

I don?t think this is their best game, but there?s a kind of relentless about the Leafs play. The way they can set up in the zone and cycle and grind. It?s highly impressive.

Meanwhile at the back Campbell looks calm and collected to deal with things when that breaks down.

If the Leafs get a single point tonight, they clinch home ice in the first round for the first time since 03/04.

I'm not really that jazzed about Brooks as a player but good things really do seem to keep happening when he's on the ice.

He?s a 4th liner so you see some plays where the play dies because he can?t handle a pass from Joe/Spezza or he gets in on a rush and can?t make the tight pass that a guy capable of playing higher in the lineup can but yeah, results are results.  He?s not doing bad things on the ice and the puck is going in the net and it isn?t just him tapping in freebies

Brooks must pinch himself every day. From the Marlies two weeks ago to playing between two bona fide NHL legends.

I love how they?re calling it a 2500 NHL point line and Brooks probably has about 6 of those though  ;D

Always liked Brooks. He's def solidified his spot as 4C

Leafs are up by two so that should pretty much cement they will go two games in a row with zero powerplays against this Canucks team
