Enh. It's just a rehashed version of an ad they did for the S2.

I still think it's good. The funny part is what they're saying isn't untrue and it isn't a big distortion of the facts.

As an iPhone user I definitely laughed at a number of the things the people in line said. If this was on Funny or Die or something it'd be great, I just don't like commercials like this. The whole Pepsi-way of advertising where a company spends more time bashing their rival than promoting their own product has always bugged me.

Style of advertising liked or disliked, to me it was just a good laugh.. the "if we don't get that feature this time I'm sure we will get it next time" or "They should have a priority line for people who have waited 5 times" lines were just too good. :)

You mean like Apple did with the "I'm a mac, and I'm a PC" stuff?

Haha well for the record I'm a PC user, so again those ads never did anything for me. Like those Samsung ads I did find them funny, but they never made me want to get Mac.

You really can't go wrong in appealing to a young and tech savvy market with executives singing REO Speedwagon.

CRTC's new "Wireless Code"  giving consumers more 'options' and  carriers more 'restrictions'.

Canadians need more flexibility in dealing with their carriers as per cellular contracts, etc.  However. the CRTC itself warned that the new legislation is by no means a fait accompli, as carriers hinted at possible higher (smart)phone  prices to get around it.  Read below:

Higher phone prices was the 1st thing I thought of when I read this. A BB Z10 is $700 no term and $149.99 on a 3 year term. I suspect that will will be closer to $350-400 on a 2 year term now.

I've got a Samsung S3 on Bell.  I can't get the battery to last all day, no matter what I do to try and conserve battery (take it off wireless when not home, have it on reduced brightness, keep it off satellite tracking, etc etc)

I'm thinking of trying one of those thicker batteries that some places sell.  Any thoughts?

I find the same thing with most of the modern smartphones, I have mine connected to charge when I'm at a computer, which is a significant chunk of my day, when I'm going to be on the move for a significant chunk of time, I'll use the mophie juice pack, pretty much doubles the battery life.

It's really pathetic, but I get a weird feeling of mild/moderate anxiety when I notice my battery draining, with the juice pack, it's less of a worry.

Couple questions:

1) Is the phone an LTE phone?
2) Do you use data or just voice?

LTE is power-hungry, big-time.  If you don't need it, you should be able to disable it (if you use data, it'll be slower on a 3G network, hence, why I asked 2).  By getting off LTE, you should save power.
