Cell Phones

Sorry. You were at one?

You are so asking for a smiting    :P    ......lucky for you I like you, so I didn't.

I pre ordered my son's online. No way was I spending even a minute in a lineup for a phone. Nuh uh. (OTOH, if son was crazy enough to want to do that, it'd be up to him but I wasn't going to do it for him, no way). My waiting-in-line-overnight-for-stuff days stopped at concert tickets back in the 80s (Springsteen :p  summer 1984)

Ok, so I currently use a BB 9900 on Rogers, which I am not entirely happy with I will say... but I won an HTC One X from Telus the other day. I wonder does anyone else use one, and is it worth getting it unlocked and buying the Rogers micro sim.... cheers and thanks

Unlock it for cheap at Pacific Mall

I just updated my iPhone 4s to iOS6 from iOS 5.  Forgot that YouTube didn't come with it.  Downloaded it from the App store (free).

Somehow, I liked iOS 5 on the 4s better than the newest update.
I guess iOS 6 is better suited for the larger screen iPhone 5.

Anyways, I'm planning to get a look soon at Apple's newest iteration.  Not that I'll be upgrading anytime soon.  I'm personally quite satisfied with my iPhone 4s.  Then, again, one never knows...

So that's what's missing from my home screen! The change to the maps is nice; they look better.

I hear Jasmine is a great replacement for the youtube app, since I'm on a jailbroken ipad 2, I  can't use it yet.

To be honest I never even use maps, I always use Waze, the free GPS that comes with voice directions, it's amazing.

It is at least partially user generated, so I know when an accident has happened, police are sitting with a speed gun or anything else has happened on my route.

The fact that they read the directions to you is great.  Androids have had that feature for a while.  It probably would have helped if my iphone 4s didn't go through the washing machine the night before ios6 was released.

Same here WIGWAL. i really like Waze; been using it for about six months now.
Navfree is good too but uses up a lot of space because it completely downloads the maps. This is great if you're in an area that loses coverage lots, which happens to me lots on road trips to remote construction sites.
