Is there not a rule on recalls after the trade deadline? Perhaps they didn't want to waste one after if they needed to.

Highlander said:Suprised that no one has commented on Colbournes game last night, had one very good scoring chance and just missed but I like the way he moved last night and seems to have become much more fluid on his skates...would like to see him center Kessel and JVR for a night..why not?? Put Bozak between Frattin and Macarther for a game.

In the short time he played, I got that impression too. Not fast, but seemed fluid for sure.
L K said:It's not his fault that he doesn't know how to actually play hockey, but its a shame when you have a guy with some skill stuck playing with the guy.

Comments like this drive me up the wall. Saying that he doesn't know how to play hockey couldn't be further from the truth. He is playing in the NHL.
I ask you to step on the ice with some of these scrappers. I've played with some of the best the OHL had to offer and let me tell you..When you put them on the ice with a bunch of mediocre's like myself, they look damn good.
If they don't know how to play hockey, I ask, what the heck have the rest of us been doing our whole lives?

Pretty sure he meant in relation to other NHL players, not compared to you or I.

OldTimeHockey said:That's fine, but until the scrappers quit dressing, we can do nothing but assume they DO in fact know how to play hockey. Hockey involves fighting. Whether or not it should involve fighting is another discussion completely. Currently it's 'needed' or 'desired', therefore Orr can play hockey.

Fine, Orr can play hockey. But relative to other NHL players, he can't skate, shoot, pass, stick handle or defend.
OldTimeHockey said:Relative to other NHL players he's in the lower 3rd of players skill wise, you are correct. He CAN play hockey though. Not the greatest NHLer to put on blades...Not the worst either.
Like I said, as long as fighting is part of the game...He CAN play hockey..at an NHL level.
