Perhaps go and read my post again. It's quite clear.
Ok. I've now read it multiple times and I still don't understand. So, again, how does the distance between them indicate which side has moved?
I will tell you. But I'm going to cue the BS and the arguing because I know it's coming.
Nylander's rumored ask since the beginning has been $8 million. For the longest time it has been rumored that Dubas would be willing to sign him long term for $6.5 million. Therefore with a $500,000 gap with the rumored $6.9-7 million 6 year contract, that shows that Nylander has dropped his ask by around $1 million whereas Dubas hasn't budged one inch.
I will just say before you reply to this that you should open your eyes to the fact that there are other possibilities out there, perhaps that you have not considered. That does not make them "wrong", simply different and worthy of consideration IMO. I'm not claiming to be right here; this is all based on rumors and leaks. But really IMO you have no business telling me that I'm wrong when I have based this comment on research and on what I have learned throughout this contract negotiation process.
Have a different idea of your own? Good for you, I would love to hear it. But please don't talk down to me when IMO this is a well thought out post and so was my initial comment which I did not think would require explanation.
