What happens if there is a protest in Ottawa to increase masking, increase vaccine mandates, and to allow the government officials to be decided through the current voting system?

Just about 2 years along the line I finally succumbed and tested positive yesterday.
Everybody is going to get or has had it sooner or later. Hope you have mild to nothing and it's over quickly.

I only did a test as I was going to the gym and I had a bit of a stuffy head so I thought I?d just do the test to make sure I wasn?t going to breathe anything over anyone.

Was quite shocked when it came up positive as I?ve had worse colds in the last few months when I was convinced that was it. So, so far so good in terms of it being bearable enough. The little red line on my positive tests has been very red so far though so it?s definitely in there!

Yep. I'm pretty sure I have COVID. I did test negative on a rapid antigen test, but my son tested positive and we both have similar syptoms: super mild cough, very mild sore throat. I've had some bad headaches, but full of energy. So maybe I don't have it? I don't know. He's 12 and double-vaxxed. I'm double-vaxxed and boosted.

Been super careful for 2 goddam years, followed every mandate and guideline. Jackass Ford decides covid is over and it took all of 4 days for my daughter to come home with covid.

Thank you Doug Ford. That you did not giving a shit about anyone.

She?s ok. It?s a mild cold at worst right now. But seriously, this really, really pisses me off. And she?s still wearing her mask at school, but she told me almost every teacher stopped wearing one and almost half the kids stopped. So again, prices that makes are needed both ways.

F U Ford. FU to hell.

Ya I was the same last week. Mind you who knows if anyone of us have had it unknowingly. Most of my family was sick last September including my wife but I tested negative.

I hope people read this thread and see the very real damage that Ford's bungling and constant prioritizing of the feelings of his desired anti-vax constituents over the rest of us has caused and will continue to cause.

I'm working ER today.  80% of my visits are for respiratory illness.  Most of it is likely not COVID but the lack of capacity to cope with minor illness is absurd.

Hooray though, you didn't have to wear your F'ng mask in Walmart though.

The only people I see wearing masks still are elderly people, besides me, although I don't go out a lot.

I will continue to wear a mask as long as at least one other person is.

I mean I get that every little bit helps, but does masking in a mall voluntarily matter when kids are going to school unmasked and people can indoor dine, bars, clubs unmasked? Just feels like once you drop the law for all places of congregation that people not voluntarily wearing masks while shopping isn't the biggest issue.

It is kinda bizarre that everyone decided well if the law says I can do it then I should do it. Individuals are bad at assessing health risk.

I find that some places are better than others.  I heard that at the home show here in Ottawa, about 90% were wearing masks, and I was in Costco on Saturday and I want to say that most people were wearing them.  Although I have been in a Tim Hortons, and no one was wearing them while in line.

So I was at wal mart earlier in the week and I found this funny in a sad way. So masking was about 50/50 for customers, 100% of staff still had masks on, but there were a group of people who were still wearing masks around their chin or under their nose. Why????

This to me means these guys just never knew how masks worked to begin with and weren?t really passively protesting anything.
