Took off to see the grandson's practice. Missed last 2 periods. Sounds like they played well complete opposite of the meeting in NJ. Nice to see them end the skid. Let's hope they show up Saturday.

Holmberg continues to be a frustrating player though. He has like 70% of the ability he needs to be successful long-term. He makes so many nice initial plays but can't make the last move that turns a turnover into a scoring chance.

Extremely Keefey OT: dominate the puck for nothing and get sniped on a brutal line change
One of the worst line changes ever. It was confusing to everyone that Nylander had a full hour to take that breakaway. He could have scored on the third rebound and NJ would still not have been back yet.

Holmberg to me is like the perfect 13th forward. Can get plugged into literally anywhere in the line-up as an injury replacement and can play competently enough for a handful of games but long-term he's just not a regular NHLer.

Sounds like Jarnkrok, except he does decent in the reg season and goes away in the playoffs.
