I'm told Hendricks turned down more money from EDM in offseason but chose Nash for better fit.

I think at this point "turned down more money from Edmonton" can probably just be assumed when we're talking about a player older than 26.
 
IMO goaltending was always the main thing holding the Oilers back and why they weren't improving despite many high draft picks on the roster. Dubnyk is terrible so I'm sure they'll be improved with Scrivens between the pipes.

He's not having a good season, but he's not terrible.  He has a career .910 SV% playing on some very poor Oilers teams.  In his last 120 games before this season, Dubnyk put up a .917 SV%.
