The Ducks look just like the Leafs did under Carlyle. They try not to lose the game early but inevitably fall behind. They have a little push back but it's not enough and eventually the weight of always playing from behind is just too much for them.

Carlyle is a dinosaur. I'd be surprised if he ever gets another NHL coaching job.

Carlyle is an easy target in these parts, but to coach for 13 seasons and 800+ games and win a cup in the NHL, he doesn't need to prove much.

I don't think the Ducks will rest on those laurels, but if someone else wants to that's their business.

Hey Ic9 don't mean to bust you but we can't play this thing out goal by goal or even game by game.  What we have in this team is a revelation for Leaf fans and if all the horses are harnessed at the same time then watch out.  you said a lot of positive things in retrospect, I know it is hard to be a Leaf fan and that we all want the best, but sometimes its just best to get out of the way, keep the faith and let it happen.

Oh and where was Azzuri tonight?  I guess they weren't playing bad enough for him to comment.

I?m aware of the content I produce, and as such, I do not mind when someone busts on me or calls me out.  It?s fair.

Two really good wins in a row.  And a thorough win against a bad team was needed.  Keep it going.

Bet the ducks beat the Habs tomorrow.

Nylander with 6 points in his last 5 games and easily could have had a 3rd point tonight as he was made a nice pass to amusing thet led to the Johnsson goal

Seems like the Leafs had a good night but on the other hand games after December 1st against bad teams don't count so...

;D ;) ;D ;) 8) 8)

I was going to post that, from a strictly scoring perspective, they were still flatasapancake after 1 since it was 0-0.  Hoho  :P

Also, Chris Cuthbert.  CHRIS CUTHBERT.

Muzzin is a stud. Kind of reminds me of McCabe for those couple years where he was a rock playing upwards of 30 minutes a game, except he doesn't have to rely on the can opener for his physicality. It's been a long time since we had a defenceman capable of taking a slapshot.

Yushkevich is angry for his name's misspelling.

I do apologize to the Big Y but he should cut me some slack for my high regard for the way he played the game.  Another minor buzz in my ear. On Tavares goal it was and is stated that the Goat passed it to Johnsson and that he passed it to Tavares who scores. It is set up on PPP this way as well.  If you look at the clip Freddie passes it to Johnsson in his own end, then breaks out to centre ice where Andres returns the puck to El Freddo who then passes the puck to Johnny T for the ripper into the short side, watch it, Freddo should get the primary assist.

I'm embraced from a different angle Freddo did not touch the puck, but on the first angle really looked like he did. Time to sit in the corner! :-[

Yushkie!!!

Love that man, always did. The original Russian tank.

Just thinking back, how great was the Yushkevich for Svehla trade.  Both were great defense men for the team

Caught the Game in Six. What a fun highlight package! Great sequence by Muzz and looks like Willy is getting comfortable. Heard Auston is done  :D
