Awful. Actually reminded me of the Jeff Finger contract because McKenzie had to clarify it was $2.9mil per year not total.

Even 2.9M total over years total would have been a raise on his AAV over last year.

Yeah, but, at least that would have left him with a cap hit reasonable for a guy of his "talents." $2.9M per is just sheer madness.
 
I was at a BBQ when I saw this reported and genuinely wondered if there were another Deryk Engelland in the league.
