You're welcome Arn.

Nylander with handles and the puck goes to Moore/Martin and back out of the zone.  This whole notion of Nylander being sheltered to play against inferior players is negated by playing with plugs.

Ya thats Babcock.

Marner needs a better effort than that.  He completely gave up on the play despite the fact the puck was right there for the taking.

Still don't understand why a guy is allowed to stand in front of your goalie.

Because, once you engage physically, all they have to do is fall down, and, suddenly, it's a 5-on-3 instead.

This is the new reality of the NHL. Has been for a little while now.

I was referring to the goal. What were Hainsey and Reilly doing with the Flame screening Andersen. Try and move him out of there.

So was I. If they engage, and he falls, they go to the box for interference. Damned if they do, damned if they don't. Clearing the crease is simply not a thing anymore.

I know it's not the same as the old days but you can still try and outmuscle someone out in front. Reilly and Hainsey need to clear the front in that case. Andersen sees the puck it's still 0-0.

Not how the game is played now. Hasn't been for almost a decade. I don't know what else to tell you.

I think it's time to end the Hyman/Matthews/Brown line.  It's not getting anything done.  How about, oh, 29 for 11?  Just to see what might happen?  ::)

I?ve come around on Hyman a bit but I would like to see some players split up.  Bozak and JVR don?t need to be permanently attached at the hip.  Kadri and Kamari?s.  Matthews and Hyman.  Make something new when the Leafs aren?t working.
