Game 1: Leafs @ Bruins - Apr. 11th, 7:00pm - CBC, TSN 1050

Funny how the Leafs finally pretty much healthy with their intended roster is a night and day difference than one without Gardiner, Dermott, and icing a bunch of flu-ridden forwards.
I have a sinus infection right now and I'm dying.

Muzzin kind of shows Zaitsev how he can play to be effective: keep the gap, play the puck and make time to go for the easy pass. The two of them taking the bulk of the match up really frees up our attacking D to facilitate zone time for our forwards.

If I learned anything from watching The Magic School Bus it?s that oxygen flow is critical to good cardio.

One hell of a game.  Top to bottom.  Good solid win

Best part for me is that Matthews had a really good game and didn?t score.  If he gets going on top of this I?m really liking our chances in this series

Ya, Matthews looked great. Johnsson's effort was fantastic. I just don't think Boston will be able to handle the two big lines.
I thought Matthews had a great game. Got some chances and worked hard all night. Had 20:42 in ice time.

Agreed, had the same observation. He was noticeable and effective all night in all three zones, similar to Tavares. That's huge for our depth.

The Leafs came out looking polished and prepared. Good job by the coaching staff, nipping a lot of Boston?s attack in the bud with their game plan. Pastrnak and Marchand were largely stymied. Getting burned early on the PK seemed to get them to buckle down further.
