I think on Dec. 18th they said.

Steckel post-game: "...anytime you give up four powerplay goals you?re not going to win a (expletive) game. Sorry, but it?s the truth."

Why he is apologizing for speaking the truth?

Another truth is that you are not going to make the playoffs with a PK that's 29th.

Maybe sorry for the expletive. Glad I missed this one now.

The Leafs, their PK, the refs, they were all, to repeat the word, t-e-r-r-i-b-l-e in this game.  Some of the penalties called against the Leafs left me shaking my head!  Of course, the 'undisciplined' Leafs did same!

Reimer doesn't seem to have his magic back.  Teams seem to know what to do and how to score on him (screened shots).

Let's hope #34 regains his winning ways again (just as Gus recently did) and that the Leafs pick up their game, something that wasn't quite evident tonight.

I know I'm just a stupid, biased leafs fan, but these games where the reffing is so bad is really getting frustrating. Obviously there will be games where some calls go for us and some against, but the last couple of weeks have been terribly one-sided.

Coupled with an atrocious PK, this is a recipe for disaster.

I just don't understand how our PK can be so bad.

You know, I've been saying the same thing to friends. There are so many non-calls against the opposition lately it's ridiculous. And I know I'm a Leafs fan but when both Bowen and Millen are in agreement multiple times a night on a penalty not being called against the opposition it becomes almost comical.

We need a solid 3-4 game win streak soon.

I missed the game, but how was Reimer? I'm willing to give him a bit of leeway in his fist week back but he's had 3 starts now, and I think he needs to earn back his starting role.

And also, I've read a bit that people are against scratching Kulemin, and I kind of think he's a player that it wouldn't really affect, but at this point, you have to try something. No, he hasn't looked terrible all year, but his shots are way down and he's generating almost zero offense. If he gets going, we're a much better team.

Kulemin had a solid game, he was the screen that helped Franson's goal in the 3rd.  He's doing all the little things, and I have a hard time benching Kulemin when you are icing Dupuis who has 0 points on the year when he's not doing anything.

I think they are making a mistake just running Reimer out there as the 70+% of starts goaltender right now.  Gustavsson probably isn't a long-term answer as a starter, but Reimer is living off a 26 game season and while he hasn't been bad, he's not making the additional saves that put him into undisputed starter territory.  Some of it will be the fact that he missed a month of hockey, but my concern is that they sit Gustavsson for an extended period again, let him get cold, and then wonder why they have two goaltenders who aren't performing well.

I wouldn't call it a bias - poorly officiated games are tough to watch, regardless of which tam they impact more or if they're somehow evenly called. Unfortunately, the quality of the officiating in the NHL has really gone downhill over the past few seasons, and, it's now become rare that we see a well officiated game, when that used to be the norm (outside of our biases, of course).

Handing the #1 starting job to Reimer after so few games played is a mistake, particularly after Gus was playing well for a sustained period of time.  I think at this point they have to stick Gus back in net and see if they can start winning again.

They also have to stop having a terrible PK.
