Dupuis: 30GP 0 points

Boyce: 1GP, 1 point

Boyce makes things happen out there....Dupuis is slow and useless

Where did he get a point?

Look at you, trying to brings facts and evidence into this discussion.

I watched about 30 games with Boyce last year and about 30 with Dupuis this year and I fully endorse Boyce over Dupuis.

Not being Philippe Dupuis counts as one point.

So is it against the rules for the Leafs to have more PP chances than their opponent?

Big kill at the end there. Feels good, especially after having to watch Ruff scream and whine every time his team gets a penalty.

Oh and was that a record for most times a ref didn't drop the puck in a faceoff? Felt like there was an inordinate amount of non-drops.

One thing I've noticed in the last few games: Schenn needs to stop playing goalie. There have been a number of times he's tried to block shots, but its always in close to the goal instead of out towards the shooter. This just results in deflections (as seen tonight) or screens (as happened in the last game).

Absolutely huge with against a division rival with the way things are bottling up in the East. I hate the Sabres like no other so that made it sweeter.

Reimer with a second straight great start. Solid play from him. He is returning back to form.

I thought Kadri was excellent out there. He adds an element this team is lacking with his creativity. I find he is the best stickhandler on the team. He sure can dangle.

Now let's get 2 more tomorrow against the hapless Isles and head into Christmas on a high!

I don't think the one tonight was as a result of what you're talking about.  It was a shot that was on sort of an angle, almost a pass to the other side of the net to a Sabres player, and it just hit him.  It could have hit any number of players in that vicinity.

That's fair. I'm not blaming him for giving up a goal after an extended 5 on 3, as you just have to do whatever you can in that situation; its just something I've noticed in his defensive game lately and that's when I noticed it this game. It's almost as if he doesn't trust the goalies to make the save and is trying to stop everything himself - playing the players positionally instead of playing the puck.

Holy cow.

Had the Leafs lost, 36 points would have us sitting 10th today too.

Holy cow.

I said in the summer that Buffalo would be the most disappointing team in the league this season, and, as it stands right now, it's between them and Washington. The Sabres are actually in 11th, by the way.
