Game 35: TOR @ NYI

Grrrr.

We need to get more shots on net on Nabokov.  He's been suspect and we need to pepper him.

Kadri was hooked to the ice right before there, too.

I honestly think he's going to get treated like Grabovski in this league.  A guy who plays with finesse in high-traffic areas and gets hooked/held/tripped/interfered and will never get the call.

And yet another game where the opposition is going to get more PP chances than us.

Should have started Gustavsson

Not a great game from Reimer.  Bad rebounds tonight and he seems to get confused really easily by pucks in traffic.

Tavares has 2 goals in 21 games.

There was a 5 minute segment on tsn today about his goal scoring slump.  They interviewed him, Capuano, and Okposo.

His goal scoring has been a problem this year.

I would have gone with Gus as well.  I guess they figure with not playing many games yet this year, and with the Christmas break, Reimer could handle it.

I honestly don't know what they can do differently.  They actually tend to have a lot of puck possession 5 on 5, they are fast (isn't that the old adage for drawing penalties?), and they aren't overly physical.  It makes absolutely no sense, and I'm completely stumped as to why they don't get calls anymore.  I honestly think it started to change when Burke was "boasting" about trying to arrange a fight with Lowe.

Yeah, the Leafs lead the league in vague, incalculable statistics.
