I'd try Connolly on the point and maybe have Kadri out there at centre with the top-unit. Or Steckel. Either way, Connolly had success on the point in Buffalo.

I think Connolly on the back end is a good idea. He's a good playmaker and he seems to lose a lot of the faceoffs when the Leaf's are on the PP.

Really but why does Wilson keep throwing the same 5 guys out there. They haven't done a damn thing the whole game. All they do is pass it around. Phaneuf honestly there are times he should shoot and he keeps dishing it and when there is no one in front he lets it go. Franson usually lets it go sometimes just with a wrist shot but at least it creates something, and why Mac is out there is beyond me.

Why wasn't that goalie interference? Didn't look like anyone touched the Sabre player and he goes crashing into Gus.

When is Connolly going to do something against his old team.  This is the 4th game against the Sabres now and I don't think I have seen him do something of note in any of them.

I really don't understand why Phaneuf doesn't carry the puck up the ice more often like he just did. He's actually quite good at it.

I rewound that to check, looked like there was contact from the leaf player, but not nearly enough for the Sabre player to go into Gus with that kind of force.
 
Call me crazy but the last 7 min of the game where you're trailing by a goal, Schenn should never get a shift. He has no offense.

Kadri is playing like an idiot out there. He thinks he's in junior again. I've been banging my head on my desk the last few games he's been playing. Ugh.

Anyway, good call. Boyce didn't deserve a penalty. The guy he was tussling with fell like a pansy, he wasn't even tripped.
