He deserves the start and I hope he plays well.

I wouldn't mind both goalies having lights out seasons. Is there really a problem if both guys put up .920+ save % and win a bunch of games?

Bernier 1-0 1.00GAA .969%
Reimer 1-0 3.00GAA .919%

While I'm ecstatic that Bernier looks to be a real find for the Leafs, I would hardly anoint him number one after only one game, especially since Reimer was extremely solid in his first start as well. Does Bernier steal the 1A tag and drop Reimer to 1B? Possibly, but I'd personally like to see at least a few more starts with each goalie to be sure.

I think the OP was being facetious

It's not that easy though. Everybody says that Carlyle's known to just go with his gut when it comes to goalie decisions. So does he go with the guy who put up a better performance in the back-to-backs, or does he go with the guy who has the much stronger history against the opposing team?
I'm a vocal Bernier supporter, but I don't think one game is enough to justify taking the starters reigns. Carlyle will likely keep switching for the next few weeks and given his history, I think Reimer starts Saturday and Bernier gets the next one.

I am a big fan of James, but I can?t deny that Bernier is (seems to be) a real deal. Time will tell, making assumption based on one game would be foolish, but if this trend continues Bernier will claim that No.1 job.
On Saturday, I would start James based on his record against Turds. Next game I would go with Jonathan. Let?s see how they do and let?s go from there.
