Gunnarson made a bad play in that failed pass and his lack of foot speed contributed to the call.  If one of the younger players made that mistake he might be benched by RC for a period.

If Kessel shoots the damn puck we could have been up 2-0 and there would have been no penalty.

"Could" have been.  If JVR puts the backhand on net the Leafs could have been up 2-0.  If Raymond lifts the puck it could have been 2-0.

Kessel shoots the puck a ton.  He chose to pass it there.  Stop obsessing over it.

Stop obsessing over others comments. Had enough of your 2 cents last year that's why I haven't harped on you this year. Unfortunately McFate has to answer to your crap this year.

The second PK unit is much worse than last year, that accounts for most of the drop in its efficiency. Granted the first unit hasn't been as good either but the overall drop is mostly on the second unit.

McClement, Gunnarsson, and Phaneuf have all been on the ice for about twice the amount of PPGA this season than last season.

BTN.ca has McClement and Phaneuf with 11 GA last season, and Gunnarsson with 8.  This season it has McClement with 20 GA, Phaneuf with 17 GA and Gunnarsson with 15.

Good that a fight ruined the offensive zone chance that Raymond was doing his best to ruin on his own.

The fight started before Raymond even hit the blue line really, the play should have been blown dead earlier.

Is that as a unit or individually and either way does that include Kulie as well? Honest question, I'd love to know where I can see those kind of stats. I may be wrong here but I just noticed that a lot of the times the PK gave up a goal, those four as a unit weren't on. Maybe one or two of them but no more.

We watching soccer or hockey. Think Gallaghers in the wrong sport and the refs fall for it.

Its unbelievable. This might be the worst refereed game I've seen all year, and I watch a lot of hockey.

Individually. There's really no way to know how they're doing as a unit. Kulemin's been on for 8 this season and 12 last season. Although of course he's missed about 10 or so games this season, but his number this season is still close to last season.

You can check out the numbers here: http://www.behindthenet.ca/nhl_statistics.php?ds=25&s=22&f1=2013_s&f2=4v5&f5=TOR&c=0+1+3+5+21+22+23+24+25+26+27+28. Just change the season to look at last year.

Although Potvin posted the others numbers earlier in the thread:
