Kind of wild considering how hot Tampa's been lately. It'll be a slog to make up the 5 most likely but it's not out of the question. Really hope the goaltending still holds up.

Under the current parameters, at most Woll would have gotten one extra game off, maybe the Montreal game.
When has either goalie played full-time and not gotten hurt? These are tandem guys. That's all they've ever been when they play all the time; they get hurt. Why would we think otherwise? I understand we're behind the eight ball, but a good goalie every other game is better than two AHL goalies.

I would say I agree with your sentiment but when your team is last place in the Eastern conference you probably have to ice the lineup that gives you the best chance to win any given night. If the Leafs were in a better position in the standings maybe you would have seen a different deployment of the goalies, I'm not sure. But with the way Woll was playing (great) I think you had to roll with him and hope for the best.

Hopefully he was taken out of the game for precautionary reasons. He finished the 2nd period so that is probably a good sign.

Crazy considering all that's going on, this is what makes sports so great, a few more wins and we're right back in it.

We would technically be in a playoff spot in the West too right now. Very weird year.

Give Cowboy a rest next game. Throw Maccelli on the 2nd line with Tavares and Nylander and see if he has some jump to his game.
The line hasn't been good in 3 of the last 4 games so they need a change up. I'd be leaning more to 89 being in the top 6 but we all know Berube doesn't really like him so maybe Laughton gets a shot there.
Having said that it's doubtful Berube will do anything because Cowan still got out on PP1 and Knies was taken off it for OEL.
