AR-15s readily available to civilians

You can't even call this shocking anymore. We know there won't be a significant change in response to something as horrible as this so the only question now is when/where/how bad the next one will be. That country just seems irrevocably broken.

Exactly. The cycle just continues.

->Mass Shooting -> We need change ->Don't take my rights -> Nothing changes -> Rinse and repeat.

The "American Empire" is rapidly crumbling before our eyes, and the powers that be seem quite content to sit back and let it happen. It's really a sad state of affairs.

When they can't even agree what basic reality is anymore you know it's circling the drain. These politicians have irrevocably destroyed the country while China plays the long game. I think most of Western civilization could be in trouble in a hundred years with the way things are going.

I'm not a big fan of either political party in the United States but this issue really isn't one with equally apportioned blame. One political party in the US is the cause of them not having meaningful action on this issue and I think real criticism of the situation needs to focus on that. It's not that "they" can't agree about reality. It's that one party has entirely detached itself from it.

Every new piece of information that comes out about this makes it even worse than before.

Holy forkin' shirtballs it's even worse than the previous worse.

I'm afraid to ask...

Police stood around and instead of engaging in an active shooter scenario sat outside - yep
Police got into confrontations including tasing, handcuffing and pepper spraying distressed parents while standing around outside - yep
Police were breaching the building to try and retrieve their own children without dealing with the situation - yep.
More children died while the police did next to nothing.....you betcha.

Yeah this keeps getting worse.
