Idiocracy

Boy, Trump and the NRA are going to have to do a lot of mental gymnastics to figure out how they can logically support gun ownership rights without background checks and yet also be strongly opposed to 3D-printed guns that happen to cut the gun manufacturers out of the sales loop.

Just mandate that you give Trump a dollar for every plan and brand a gold Trump on it and the idiot would support it.

I?m baffled by his continued attacks on his intelligence agencies and how the entire Republican Party tolerates this stuff.  I get that these are terrified old men who want to desperately hold onto power but the damage done to the International reputation and their idiotic tarrifs are going to have significant consequences for decades

I've been wondering about this. Even if there was a tape of Trump saying the n-word. Heck, even if he flat out just tweeted it out, would his base even care?

I think a large portion of his base legitimately finds it amusing instead of embarrassing; the latter of which would be the proper reaction.

I honestly think there's a significant portion of his base who are waiting for him to say it so that they can say it too.

Hacks & trolls:  How Twitter was used to spread "divide & concur"  and discord by Russian intelligence.  A note of wsrning for not just the U.S. upcoming Midterms but for Canada's 2019 Federal Election:

"Russian trolls went after other liberal democratic countries ? and Canada has been a vocal defender the liberal democratic order, like the NATO alliance," said MacLellan.

"This goes with the general trend [of the Russian government] trying to undermine countries that oppose its ambitions."

These tweets and accounts ? along with millions of others ? have since been deleted after being outed as trolls with the Internet Research Agency, a company in St. Petersburg with ties to Russian government intelligence.

Trump is inching closer and closer to the day where he just publicly and proudly admits to being a racist.

Just a racist?

Quite the difference...

I don't think it's right to denigrate the deceased but for all of the support John McCain is getting, he was more than a little racist in his own day (battled against MLK Day).  He also did very little to stand up against Trump and the degenerate portion of the Republican Party with his 90%+ support of their tactics.

I don't think that element of his political career should be forgotten.

A true ignorant...

"There?s going to be a lot of pressure to get a deal with Canada,? Mark Sobel, a former U.S. Treasury official and now American chairman of the research group OMFIF. ?Canada?s the main trading partner for many states, quite a bit of our economic fortunes are entwined with Canada.?

On Nafta, Trump began his Labor Day holiday on Monday by attacking Richard Trumka, the head of the AFL-CIO, America?s largest union umbrella group, who said on ?Fox News Sunday? that ?it?s pretty hard to see? how Nafta works without Canada. Trump had hoped unions would lean on Democrats to back his approach.

If the AFL-CIO?s opposition to a Nafta without Canada holds, it would leave Trump facing opposition by bosses, farmers, workers and politicians -- every major constituency in American trade politics.

...sensitive issues related to Canada?s highly protected dairy sector and the Trump administration?s zeal to eliminate a dispute-resolution mechanism that Ottawa regards as crucial.

That mechanism ? known as Chapter 19 ? allows Nafta members to challenge each other?s trade remedy rulings, such as special tariffs levied in anti-dumping cases, before an independent panel. It is seen as a Canadian red line, dating back to 1980s negotiations over a bilateral U.S.-Canada pact that served as a precursor to Nafta as well as the early 1990s Nafta negotiations.

The real reason why federal governments dating back to the Chr?tien Liberals continue to limit the sale of US milk in Canada:  rBGH (recombinant Bovine Growth Hormone) is largely banned in Canada & Europe...

Compared to the US, Canadian chicken has been largely hornone-free since the early 1960's.  Antibiotics continue to be given though with some trepidation concerning antibiotic-resistant bacteria.  Hence, the idea of probiotics for chickens was born...
