Is this the turning point???

I like what Hamilton brings. it seems we keep pulling gems from the Marlies, I like the next one. Joey C, I think when he is ready he will be that #1 center we have been looking for. Just like Kadri it just takes time.

I agree with the Nutman..Joe C is going to be a very good hockey player...he is still growing for C___s sakes into that big frame of his. He skates well for a big man and  has soft hands and will be a set up man for L and K.  Cant wait to see him up on the big team

I agree he'll be a full time NHLer soon enough. The only question I have is whether or not he'll ever be that 1st line center the Leafs desperately need. I hope your right. It would solve a big problem down the middle, and free up Bozak for a possible trade.

I like the #6 seed better then the 5th. at this point I'll take the Jets over the Bruins any day.

I bank on the Bruins overtaking the Habs though and overtaking 2nd in the conference.  That would then set up a Hab-Leaf series if we land 4th and 5th.  So either we get the Habs or Jets is how I see things playing out.

I'd be surprised if the Bruins don't come out on top in the division, but I'd still prefer finishing 6th because I see the Habs as a tougher opponent than the Jets.

I agree.  I also want to see the Jets because we'll have plenty of chances to play the Habs in the playoffs moving forward with the re-alignment.  Jets, we could only ever meet in the Stanley Cup Finals after this season (or until another re-alignment occurs).

If we meet the Bruins, I am not worried because I think we got over that hump. also I want the pleasure of knocking them out.

I don't want to face the Bruins in the playoffs. Period. Having said that, if they do meet there would be no larger boost of confidence to the Leafs moving forward than to beat the Bruins in a playoff round.

Today was another good day to be a leeaf fan. all we picked up was the one thing we needed for the remainder of this season, a stay at home defneceman. it truly is a new era in leaf land. I would have just lost it if we went after a Goalie.

By every single, solitary report the Leafs did go after a goalie. He turned them down.

Not real big on answering with one word questions but...

Huh?

I'm not sure how complicated that was but...by all reports the Leafs wanted to make a deal for Kiprusoff. It fell apart not because the Leafs didn't want him but because he had no interest in coming here.

the report I saw said that yesterday he was excited to be coming to Toronto. Something changed overnight.

Feaster confirmed this, himself.  Toronto was trying to acquire Kiprusoff.

Just heard the press conf.  He confirmed Toronto were talking trade and had permission to speak to Kipper and his agent.  IN the end he said that Kipper did not want to leave for family reasons.

It wasn't the whether they were trying to acquire one or not that I was confused about. It was the "He turned them down" part. I mean I get what Nik is saying but originally I thought he was talking Luongo.
