Jimmy Vesey

If he's really set on signing here, I imagine we'll see a similar deal to how the Leafs picked up Hyman - a depth prospect or a late pick to Nashville so they can say they got something for him. Relationship management and such.
 
I wonder if we maybe trade them someone like Sam Carrick for his rights. Carrick's a RFA, likely doesn't have any future with the Leafs. I wouldn't even be surprised if they let him walk to open up a contract spot.

Yeah. I doubt Nashville would go along with that phrase here. Maybe stolen money? As in the cash was in the wallet in the back pocket of the Nashville Predators and now it isn't. Lol.

While he's right that there's no financial benefit to Vesey here, he gets to choose his team, and that's a pretty significant thing to gain out of this.

I fully expect if he signs with the Leafs that they'll lose a pick somehow.  League loves nothing more than to take a Leafs pick away.

If there is that much bitterness coming from the Nashville camp, than they must truly believe he's going to be a pretty good NHL player. That bodes really well for us Leaf fans if the rumours are right about him likely to sign with T.O. this summer. Is this going to be like the biggest off season in Maple Leaf history or are we just getting our hopes up for that to happen?

If only Poile offered to be the little spoon in bed.  Then Vesey would have signed with him for sure.  This is seriously pure comedy.
