Joffrey Lupul

Maybe his neck is too stiff or maybe he just wanted to go for a skate to see how he felt.  He may feel fine.  This is likely my wishful thinking though.

We need Feschuk to ask his mom.

@jonasTSN1050: Lupul departs practice after about 10 minutes.

That?s not a good sign, I guess

Im no doctor. But to me, its how he feels tomorrow that will tell the tale. If he wakes up with no headaches and is able to skate again then ill take it as a good sign!

Or maybe Carlyle tells the media that hes out for the remainder of the season! What do I know?  :P

It's an encouraging sign, but, on it's own, it doesn't mean much. If he's back on the ice again tomorrow, it probably means he's close to returning. If he's not, then, who knows.

Think it is a given he won't play tomorrow and I would think that they hold him out for Wednesday as well just to ere on the safe side.  Here is hoping he makes it back for next Saturday against the Habs.  Colborne will likely stick with the big club for Mon and Wed games as the Marlies don't play until Friday anyway.

He probably gets that suggestion quite often on twitter.

I doubt it. If he's ready to go, they'll put him in.

This is pretty much it.  Regardless of how well he feels today.  If he is having symptoms tomorrow, he won't play.  The thing would be that if he is symptom free after today, he should be symptom free tomorrow.  Overall, it would be better to be cautious with him though and make sure that he is healthy for the postseason more than rushing him back.  There isn't any evidence that 5 days versus 7 days off makes your head better but if there is the slightest sense that he isn't feeling 100%, they should hold him out.

I don't know much about head injuries but I know they can clear up in a few days or hang on for years. For Lupul's sake i hope it is the former. and this injury comes 2 days after i was trying to convince Frank E that Lupul is not injury-prone. Oh well...  ::)

Sportsnet just reported he had a good day today but will definitely not play Monday.

With these concussions, I wait until you thought the guy was clearly 100% and then tack on an extra week just to be sure.

Yep, that is why I am thinking outside shot at Sat return against the Habs.

Lupul is on the ice during practice right now.  Live streaming here: http://mapleleafs.nhl.com/v2/ext/live/

I'm watching that feed - who is that in net? It's funny because he isn't even trying, and whenever one goes past him they are celebrating the goals... its funny to watch.

It's not Reimer or Scrivens, the goalie looks way too small.

I didn't think it was Reimer... and I'm not criticizing or anything, I found it genuinely funny to watch.

No, I know, I was wondering who that was in net as well.  The goalie was way too short to be either of our two guys, could just be some trainer or someone with goalie equipment on.
