Kadri suspended remainder of 1st round

I would assume well probably hear the outcome around 3pm.  I?m not expecting anything less than 5 games.  In no way do I think it deserves it but for some reason I?m expecting 10.

I mean we were all pretty thrilled when the league finally came down hard on Tom Wilson and gave him a very hefty suspension after multiple incidents. If the league decided to use a similar multiplier rule here I wouldn't entirely be surprised to see something close to 10. Like Guilt Trip said, this will be his 5th suspension for something relating to head contact and apparently no other player has had that many.

If it was the sign of consistency, sure.

George Parros pretty much just suspended everyone for 2 games though all year after that.  There was no new precedent set and I'm not a huge fan of selective punishments.  If it's part of a trend to harsher punishments for everyone, yep, 100% on board but I'm not super keen on selective treatment.

Flexible!
So when some people speculated that it would be 3-5 games, they were literally exactly correct.

Maybe it's a lot, maybe it's not!  Wacky!

Have they ever done a suspension like this before? I'll take it, could have been much worse. And I'm sure if Kadri gets another hearing with them within the next year that one will be a doozy.

Maybe the NHL favours ?cave? hockey...🤔🤨

The Leafs are a new-age team in that vein. They?re fast and full of finesse. They also take few penalties, make few hits and lack bruisers on the roster. But that puts them in a tough spot in a no-holds-barred playoff series against a team such as the Bruins, who ? as Fluto Shinzawa eloquently explained this weekend ? ?are happy to be cavemen, dragging their knuckles both on the ice and across opponents? faces.?

I feel like there is a big wheel they spin to determine what the suspension will be. Typical arbitrary decision.

Might as well appeal? Any consequence to appealing?

I sense some leniency was given due to the way the game was handled. This is relatively soft.

The more I think about it the more I believe this to be the case. Also DeBrusk not being injured helped.

Eh, I think it's kind of BS.  Pick a number, not a range.

This is the kind of crap that has made me scarce over the last few years, losing interest in the NHL. Love the Leafs but watching this league is just getting painful.

League never gets any suspensions right. Bruins get more breaks than the Leafs, have a lot of say in the league.

Not hard to lose interest in this league with some of the stupid sh*t that goes on.

I personally think the Thornton hit to the Knight player last night was deliberate and will see what Thornton gets. Leagues a joke.
