Kubina to Philly?

Jon Kalinski from the ahl.

I know they've been speculating it's him over at HFBoards, but, I don't think that has been confirmed yet.

EDIT: Never mind, foudn my own answer:

TBLightning: The Lightning have acquired a 2nd Rd pick in '12 or '13, a 4th Rd pick in '13 and LW Kalinski from Philadelphia in exchange for Pavel Kubina

That means it's Florida's 2nd rounder being sent to the Lightning.

@Kpatt9386. Tampa Bay is believed to be taking a contract back....likely ECHL player.

Sounds like Tampa wins if they're getting a bonafide prospect back.

Definitely not a bonafide prospect.  Just a body.

Oh so he is not opposed to deadline deals, just opposed to deadline deals from the maple leafs.

Clearly, he's open to being moved when he's a UFA in the summer, but not in situations where he wasn't.

look to small differences if you want.  He looks like a jerk to me for this decision.

A year of a players life is a small difference?

2 years. When he turned down a deal to San Jose, he had 2 full seasons left on his contract. That's a pretty significant difference from 2 months.

...not to mention that it's actually his choice to begin with, tough to say he's a jerk for exercising his rights.
