Leafs @ Canucks - Apr. 18th, 7:00pm - SN, Fan 590

Rielly is the Leafs best penalty killer.  I just don?t understand how you have Rielly out there at this point.

I wanna know what Dubas and Shanny are bloody watching. Coaches don't want to change and try something different maybe they should be told to do so. This has gone on long enough or bring someone else in to replace Malhotra.

He's got such a great shot but my opinion not using it anywhere near as much as he should.

He is third on the Leafs? top-6 in taking shot attempts at 5v5, behind Matthews and Tavares.
Wouldn't bother me to see him shoot more..he's got a great shot.
That was a great pass by Thornton.

This game feels like the Leafs are holding back just a little bit but Vancouver is 2 steps behind the play

They're not replacing Maholtra.

Why do we insist to pass the bloody puck when we are in a prime shooting position. Overpassing exactly Simpson is right. Shit is really irking me. Shoot the thing never mind trying to pad Matthews numbers his goals will come.

Astute observation from Hughson. "Canucks are happy this game has started 5 on 5" as opposed to what Jim? All those games you start 5 on 3?
It was an honestly baffling statement. It was less than 4 minutes into the game. The most generous interpretation of his comment was that the Canucks hadn't yet been penalized, but literally minutes into the game?

Why not? If he is in charge of the shitshow PP he should be. If anything it's the inability to try and change anything. Same guys out there, same setup same bullshit. PP was #1 in the league beginning of year. What are they doing different and no I don't expect them to click at 40% but 4 % is a f'n joke with the talent they have out there.

Sloppy period. Leafs with guys in scoring positions and the puck either hops off the stick or shot blocked. Should be up by more than 1

They're going to overpass this whole game, calling it now.

I blame that on Keefe. Doesn't he see that? Marner is terrible for that but a lot of them seem to be doing the same. Tell them to start firing it when in a prime scoring area. Doesn't have to be a pretty 3 way passing play all the time. We should be up by 3 or 4 already.

Wouldn?t bother me either, but he is not under shooting, and he?s pretty top on the team in passes leading to high danger shot attempts, which is less apparent when his primary shooting linemate is at <5% most of the season, and the other winger was Vesey

Hughson and Simpson are really clueless.  This is literally the first game the Leafs have used different defense pairing all year

I didn't mind these 2 in years past and being in BC used to hear Hughson a lot with the Canucks. That has definitely changed. Canuck homer and distaste for the Leafs is so obvious. nothing better than a 8-0 shellacking to shut him up.

I really wish Dennis Beyak had stayed in Toronto to do play-by-play instead of going to Winnipeg. It's generous to call Hughson mediocre.

Beyak would be an improvement..I think Miller or Cuthbert should be the only ones allowed to call games with Ray Ferarro

Hearing Bieksa talk about how much the equipment guys do make me think teams should probably hire more people to do that stuff.

He literally said these guys sleep at the rink sometimes because there's so much to do.
