Galchenyuk isn't top line material. Thornton is pretty useless. This team is just absolute junk right now. Can we send Calgary their garbage back?
The team is not junk. They simply aren't getting the goaltending.

Is now when I should post that I am done posting here and not watching any more games?
I'm kind of wondering if there is any point to watching anymore games (until the playoffs) since we don't seem to have a goalie anymore. Curious to see what Foligno brings, so I suppose I'll be tuning in to the next game for that.

Me too.  If it wasn't for Foligno I wouldn't be watching until the playoffs.  I assume they are still going to make them.

On a brighter note... Sandin has good vision out there.

I thought he looked great

Yup. Very clear in his play that he believes he belongs in this league at least. There's a ton of confidence in his game.

He kind of reminds me a bit of Tomas Kaberle. I remember the first time I saw him play (and it might have been his first NHL game), you could immediately tell that he had "it." Just the calm cool way he handled the puck and skated. I think Sandin has more of a physical element to his game but otherwise appears quite similar.

There's no doubt in my mind he belongs. I wonder what happens if Bogo is out...can Hutton play the right side?

That I agree with, but I don't think Andersen is our savior. I think he's washed up and done as a Leaf. I'd be sticking with Jack.
We all know how you feel about Freddie. Jack needs to be a lot better then he has been the last while.

I dunno.  He was obviously injured for awhile and still playing...when Campbell was out as to not gives the keys to Hutchinson.  I?ll give Freddie the benefit of the doubt if he infact comes back 100%

He played hurt last year as well and came back strong after the covid break. A healthy Freddie would be nice.

Chris, I agree that Sandin reminds you more than a little of Kabby.  I don't think he's quite as good a skater (not many are) but he's close and as you say had more, much more, of a physical element.  Also a heavier shot, though Kaberle's was underrated.

Bad news about Bogosian.  For my money he's been the most pleasant surprise.  Very few bad games.

Not good. Guess we're going to see more of Sandin now..
Wonder if they get Liljegren or Hutton some time also.

Bogosian has been very, very solid as a 3rd pairing dman. He will be missed. I don't know anything about Hutton but wonder if Dermott gets a shot playing the right side. Dermott/Sandin could be an entertaining pair, though maybe not in a good way.
