Leafs @ Canucks - Dec 2, 7:00pm - CBC, Fan 590

Roman Polak has played more than a minute more than his partner.  Not only is he slow but he stays on the ice and gets exhausted.

The Polak toy has to be taken out of little Mikey's hands by the GM.

Carrick must be livid.

Carrick?s a good pro. He is waiting, learning, biding his time.

I am willing to concede a few more points for Babcock to see convincing evidence of Polak?s not goodness.

In the first and third periods, he is farther from the benches.

I thought Polak was serviceable last year as a bottom pairing guy.  This year? Total crap.

He was a slow defenseman last year.  He wrecked his leg.  He's immobile now.  That he has played in 9 of the 20 games since he has signed is a joke.

So what you are saying is that Polak doesn't have the fitness necessary to play on the road?

Yeah. It absurd. There's no reason for him to be in the lineup against teams that can actually skate.

Also, not that it means much, but the Leafs are 3-5 with him in the lineup, 14-4-1 without him.

I have no idea why we resigned him although he's not the only issue on this team. One thing I don't get is you telling me Lamoriello couldn't or can't make a trade to improve the D?

Trading to improve the D while hurting the team elsewhere, easy.

Trading to improve the D while maintaining the current team, hard.
