Stamkos to Montreal would make sense, not sure they have the cap space for it though. Maybe they can move things around. I'd say that Toronto, Montreal, Detroit, and the Rangers are the most logical destinations right now.

How the hell would the Ranger manage that

CBC's said a few times now that these Vancouver throwback jerseys are their "OG jerseys"... does that mean something other than "original gangster"?

Obviously garish?

Creative accounting for sure.

Montreal has $61.7M in cap committed to 14 players for next season. Tight squeeze for them to make it work.

They're listed as having about $17mil in cap space right now for next season, but that's with just 12 players signed and Chris Kreider needing a new contract, maybe Yandle too if they bring him back. So they'd have to move things around probably. But with Stamkos signed one of Stepan or Brassard become expendable. Maybe they even more one of them to Tampa in a big sign-and-trade.

Yeah, it'll be interesting to see how this plays out. Like everyone says that Stamkos probably wants to win soon, but I can't really find all that many teams who are in win-now positions with $10mil in cap space just lying around. Detroit might actually be the closest.

Rangers have some big contracts expiring this season. It would just mean they wouldn't be able to upgrade anywhere else.

Part of the convo should be: Don't underestimate the attraction of playing for Babcock.

St Louis and Anaheim could be interesting fits.

Leipsic! Really hope him and Leivo stay in the line-up for the rest of the year. Both of them will likely be in the line-up next season, would be nice to not have them go into it as completely raw rookies. Especially since we might have a handful of those already.

Let's not overestimate it either. Money, winning and location are going to come before the coach. The Leafs offer advantages in 2 of those, but are way behind in the 3rd.

Great reaction from his parents too, especially his mum!

That's quite a nice goal for his first too.

Who was the last Leaf to score on debut?

Location?

Might be bad for the tank.
