Give the scoring team a PP or penalty shot in a situation like that, hard to allow a goal like that to stand.

Referring to the 3rd goal when the Van player was knocked into Bernier?  I think it's fine - if you're stupid enough to knock anybody onto your goalie, then you suffer the consequences.

You know it's bad when the best thing written about the Leafs I've read lately is an argument over Kessel's face fat.

I can't wait for them obliterate this team in the off season.

I just pray it actually happens.

Some day I will look back and wonder "How did I ever think the Phaneuf-Kessel team had any kind of chance?"

I mean, I'm wondering that now, too, but I'll do it often in the future, too.

Yeah, it's a tough go of it for the goalie, I understand what you're saying though.

Opposing teams have a better chance at scoring a short handed goal than the Leafs have at scoring a power play goal.  Pathetic!!!

To be fair, I genuinely believe that a Phaneuf-Kessel team could have won (or at least contended or been a playoff team) if management had made the right moves in the first place.  They never needed a Clarkson.  They needed  better center depth (preferably a #1 C, but having 3 #2 C's would have been a major upgrade), and better defensive depth (I do think Phaneuf is better suited as a #2 guy, but a team can succeed with him as a #1 guy if they actually had good depth to lessen the load).

Management failed miserably to surround Phaneuf and Kessel with the pieces needed to make this team work.

Oh, the goalie totally gets the short end of the stick - completely agreed.

Post of the week.

I think my bears are gonna retire for the season.....or time to put on the red jerseys.

Accountability under Horachuk is just as baffling as it was under Carlyle.  Brewer should not be playing given his lack of mobility.  What is the rationale for him now playing on the power play and penalty killing as well?
