Pretty good period, Nylander was the most impressive of them all for me that frame. Love the aggressiveness.

Last couple months I think he's been the best Leaf.

You can't blame anyone for it because it was a great kill but man...Brown should have cleared that.

Late in that period Leafs were pressing and Kadri threw it at the net and Holtby gloved it and Hughson says" Brayden Holtby has had enough of this shift" Lol for a minute I thought he said sh*t.
Ha I had the same thought.

Yeah, Mike, you are right.  We'll be a tough out.  The young guys don't know enough to respect the pundits.
Still a ways to go in this one. Hope the Leafs keep taking it to them.

I'm pretty confident of that.  Not to say that they're going to win this one.  But they aren't going to be cowed.

You know how the NBA obsesses about whether or not every jump ball is thrown perfectly straight? No, me neither.

That's certainly what I thought too.  But one replay kind of showed that Polak first touched the puck which might have  affected Brown's timing a bit.

One thing I didn't hear from any commentator was that (Again!) Babcock played the fourth line right after the goal and the play was quickly in the Leafs' end and Boyle took a soft penalty in which he wasn't moving his feet.  It is really disconcerting that he plays the fourth line after a Leafs goal.

I know they're not going to call it, but Kusnetsov (?) had a fistful of Gardiner's jersey as he went back for the puck, trying to ragdoll him off stride.

Carrick nicely eludes OV8 and then Marincin keeps it in -- again -- and gets something to the net.  Good stuff.

It's obviously effective but I always feel as though there's something a little wrong about the way Ovechkin goes so heavy into the corners on the forecheck when he's almost never working hard enough defensively to be on the receiving end of things.

Yes, Andersen booty bump!

I'm looking for a gif of when Polak went behind the net for a breakout swing and pulled off a nasty (accidental) crossover that broke the ankles of two Capital forecheckers.
