Can't watch the game tonight, do Kessel and linemates look as lackadaisical/ineffective/uninterested as they did the last 11 games?
Guess I should be glad that I've only seen bits and pieces of most of those games...

Someone should get cutouts of the core of this team. Line them up on the other side of legends row and put a sign that says Losers Lane

Horachek changes lines, Bozak still with Kessel. I mean I don't think Kadri-Kessel is going to magically make everything better but come on.

I really don't understand the Kadri-Kessel obsession. Is it really worth it to make one line slightly better and leave the rest with nothing?

Kadri is the only other decent player on this team, but he's not a first line centre either. He's proven that by not being good enough to carry a line by himself.

Kessel's the most dangerous player on the team offensively. If the team wants to start winning then getting him scoring should be their first goal. If moving Kadri to his line can do that then you make that switch and work out the rest of the lines after.

With that said, as a tanker I guess Bozak can stay where he is.

I haven't been able to see the whole game, but I think it was the Devils' second goal they showed Kessel coasting back toward his own net.  What an absolute lack of effort - he took 2 or 3 half-hearted strides.  He just looks like he's given up on the season (was only 1-0).

Also interesting, I saw the Devil's player interviewed on Sportsnet at the end of the second (was it Zajac?).  I thought one of his comments was interesting; he was talking up Elias and mentioned one of the things he appreciates is that he never cheats on offence.

I suspect it may come out that he's still injured (or injured again). If he's given up on the season, that doesn't bode well if we try to trade him. What teams is going to pay up for someone that has so blatantly quit?

Show a damn pulse you friggin' losers.

I could live with this losing if was the early stages of a rebuild. But for this to come from a bunch of high paid vets and youngsters who've been around a few years, this is insulting.

Did Horachek sap all the positive aspects of this team? Practically everyone looks useless.

Leafs outshooting Devils 22-12, are any of those shots dangerous or are they the typical shots from the blueline/sideboards/etc?

Blue Jackets up 5-1 on St. Louis!!!!!!  I wonder if McDavid is a member of Tank Nation?

Edit:  based on tonight's performance, are the Leafs capable of beating Edmonton??  I could see Scrivens coming back to Toronto and pitching a shutout.

I'm all for the team losing but it's pretty pathetic that not once has anyone looked remotely angry about the losing streak.
