Oh Soshnikov that was laaaaaame.

Another blown game.

Yes how many points have they squandered this season already. Easily could be 3-4 games over 500. Oh well what did we expect. They're on the right path but still tough to watch.

Glad Gardiner is back to getting big minutes. Led the team in ice-time, both at even strength and in all situations. For awhile there his minutes were down a little.

Worked here (same exact movements):

I didn't think it was a bad move, at all. Sneaky backhand with a quick release like that is going to catch a lot of goalies moving - especially if he can show the league he has a couple other moves coming in from that same set up.

Especially if he can fake it and go back to the forehand quickly... just do it once and goalies won't know for sure

Just wanted to tell everyone I love this Marner kid. That play with 15 seconds left makes me swoon. Really wish that could have gone in.

I had to go out at 3-0. What's the verdict on Enhroth, were they bad goals? It seems like they need five or more when starts to have a chance at the W.

I don't think Enroth was at fault specifically for any really, no. In fact I thought he had some very good moments. The team defence, however....

He had no chance on the first two - one was a great passing play, the other bounced off a New Jersey player right in front of him and on to the stick of an open man on the other side of the net. The third one was a pretty standard goal, and on the fourth, he was interfered with, but the Leafs had already used their timeout and couldn't challenge the call.

He didn't look great on the shootout goal that beat him, though. Didn't really seem to know where the shot was going. It was a great release, and a perfectly placed shot with good velocity on it, though. Probably goes in even if he does read the play better.

I have a feeling that small goalies would generally perform worse in the shootout than bigger ones.

edit: I guess I probably could have checked Enroth's career shootout save percentage before I posted this. It's pretty good actually.
