Leafs Get Andersen from Ducks

Danish, didn't Glenn Healy make an Eller Danish joke on air, I forget what it was but it wasn't flattering.

It is what it is, but as someone who has sustained a shoulder injury in the past, I found it a bugger to heal and it took a long time and this is without rotary cuff damage. Could pan out to be longer, lets hope not.

UPDATE:

Injured Andersen Takes Part in Leafs Practice

Kristen Shilton

While all the buzz leading up to Wednesday?s training camp practice for the Toronto Maple Leafs was about Auston Matthews, the team quietly got some good news on the injury front.

Not listed on Wednesday's practice roster, goaltender Frederik Andersen appeared in full gear with Antoine Bibeau and Jhonas Enroth to start the second session of the day. He participated fully in the hour-long practice, looking comfortable in the crease.

Ideally, Andersen would like to play one or two pre-season games, but says they're being patient in this process, not risking anything

I really hope they're being extra cautious here and it's not something serious.  It happened a month ago and he's still not ready to go?  I saw the play, didn't seem to be that bad at the time.

If you see the posts on this page when it happened, they said it would be 3-4 weeks...it's been about 4.

Seems right in line with what they thought.

Lou said he is still remedial in his recovery, that is pretty nebulous, according to people at the rink he doesnt have a full range of motion in his shoulder as yet.  As someone who had a rotator cuff injury a few years back I know how long shoulders can take (and I didnt have a tear in my cuff). In saying all that, I hope he is back soon, even though all the goalies have looked strong in the past two games.

Babcock confirms Freddie Andersen will play at least a period tomorrow night in Saskatoon

So excited about this season...got so much to build on but I keep thinking about how bad a move this was.
We all know Andersen is NOT better then Reimer.  While watching yesterday I kept asking myself why we made this trade.
I know its only one game and he had a bad one but regardless even if things pan out with him they could have had a better goalie in Reimer and they would not have had to give up a first and a 2nd.
Plus we could have saved money too...
Just really sucks they felt they had to make this move
